BrailleZephyr is now replaced by BrailleZ. It appears that working with upstream will not be possible and so a rebrand has been done to make this a distinct product separate from that of BrailleZephyr from American Printing House for the Blind. To continue getting updates, please install BrailleZ. Sorry for the inconvenience caused by this change but it was necessary.
BrailleZephyr is a simple Braille Ready File (BRF) editor
You can download binary builds of BrailleZephyr from the download page. If your platform does not have a binary build, there is a chance you may be able to build your own copy, see the below instructions for building.
BrailleZephyr is licenced under the Apache 2.0 license. A copy of the license is included with the software. For details see the file LICENSE.txt.
The BrailleZephyr fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. A copy of the license is included with the software. For details see the file OFL.txt.
Maven is the build system for BrailleZephyr. Maven does not need to be installed as there is a wrapper that is included with the software that will download Maven automatically. You issue build tasks using the wrapper script, which is mvnw on *nix systems and mvnw.cmd on Windows systems.
To build BrailleZephyr:
